Manufacturers in Stockport are being invited to attend a virtual ‘lean lunch’ to learn how they can access the Skills for Growth programme to upskill their workforce.
Instep UK, in partnership with the Business Growth Hub, are hosting the event to introduce manufacturing SMEs across Greater Manchester to the fully funded Skills for Growth Lean Manufacturing programme.
Through this project, manufacturers in Stockport and across Greater Manchester can access skills development programmes for their employees and managers to support their growth and improve the productivity of the city-region’s world-renowned manufacturing sector.
Taking place on Wednesday 8th June from 2pm, the online session will detail the two support programmes available to manufacturing businesses:
- Skills for Growth SME Support Programme – The SME support programme allows employers to understand what talent and skillsets they have in their organisation, and understand where it would be best to invest time in skills development to improve productivity and drive growth.
- Skills for Growth Lean Manufacturing and Management Skills Programme – This programme enables employers within the Greater Manchester region to reskill and/or upskill their employees to address the skills challenges identified through national and regional research.
Individuals can register to attend the Lean Lunch event to find out more about how their business could benefit from participating in the programme via Eventbrite.
