Stockport Homes, in partnership with B4Box has won the ‘Excellence in Contractor Engagement’ award at the TPAS National awards 2016.
The winners were announced at a ceremony at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Warwickshire.
The award recognises the unique partnership, which was formed to tackle a local need for employment support to the most disadvantaged Stockport residents, who face multiple barriers to work. The project also addresses a national challenge of attracting, training and qualifying the next generation of recruits to the construction industry.
David Wright, Chair of Stockport Homes’ Board said, “We are committed to supporting tenants, and building communities, generating savings for the public purse and providing access other routes to employment.”
Aileen McDonnell, Director at B4Box, said, “We are delighted that the collaboration has been recognised nationally for its positive impact on resident’s lives and was described as a ‘phenomenal partnership’.
