STOK, the landmark 60,000 sq ft office building in the heart of Stockport, has completed the fit out of its final phase of ‘plug and play’ workspace, with further new lettings and tenant expansions confirmed.
Following its initial refurbishment to CAT A specification, owners Tandem Investments made the strategic decision to reconfigure the former M&S store into fully fitted, flexible office suites, offering tenants a turnkey workspace solution. These suites launched in mid-2024 and have seen strong demand since.
The final phase, located on the second floor, has recently completed and delivers 13 new private office suites, two high-spec meeting rooms, and includes the terrace suite, pre-let to OCU Group earlier this year.

To date, STOK has let over 320 desks, with 150 desks immediately available in suites ranging from four up to 48 desks.
Tenants span a range of sectors including insurance, digital marketing, charity, construction, and legal services. Notably, companies such as Grofu, MMA Legal, and CTRL-S have already expanded within the building, citing increased staff productivity and satisfaction since relocating to STOK.
Oliver Woodall, Associate Director at sole letting agents Edwards Property Consultants, said:
“The decision to create flexible, split suites has proven that STOK has delivered the right product: an inspiring work environment, a diverse tenant community, and best-in-class amenities. The ‘plug and play’ model especially resonates with companies seeking a hassle-free upgrade to their workspace, without the typical upfront investment. As a result, many have chosen to sign longer-term commitments than is typical in the flex office market to lock in cost certainty.”
He added:
“The Stockport office market remains buoyant and continues to stand out as one of the North West’s most attractive business locations. Now the building is firmly established in the South Manchester market and with diminishing levels of genuine competition occupiers are committing for longer leases comfortable in the knowledge they have cost certainty but a building flexible enough to accommodate future expansion.”
