Stockport businesses are invited to showcase their live vacancies and meet with active jobseekers at sector-specific jobs fairs hosted by Stockport Jobs Match during National Careers Week (7th to 12th March).
The free service, which matches job opportunities with people looking for working in the borough, is looking for local businesses to take part in the events, taking place at 10am to 12pm, from 7th to 11th March at Kingsgate House on the A6 is Stockport.
The jobs fairs are specifically aimed at those not currently in employment who are actively seeking work to start straight away. Stockport Jobs Match will be joined by employers big and small, eager to meet active jobseekers with the skills needed to join their growing teams here in Stockport.
Employers attending the jobs fairs will be able to deliver a short 10-15 minute presentation to active jobseekers about a career in their industry and promote live jobs and apprenticeships. Support partners will also be on hand to assist attendees with applications and CV support and employers can even organise initial interviews on the day.
Each day’s jobs fair is tailored to a specific sector:
- Monday 7th March – Public sector and Administration
- Tuesday 8th March – Transport, Logistics, Warehouse and Construction
- Wednesday 9th March – Customer Service, Sales and Retail
- Thursday 10th March – Hospitality, Cleaning and Catering
- Friday 11th March – Health and Social Care
