Stockport County Football Club has been shortlisted for two major prizes at a national awards ceremony highlighting the best events and hospitality offers at UK stadium venues.
The club has been nominated for the both Matchday Hospitality Award – Small Stadium and Overall Matchday Hospitality Award categories at the 2026 Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards.
County’s double nomination follows a standout year for the Club’s matchday offering at Edgeley Park, and builds on 2025’s success at the awards, which saw the Hatters named winners of the Matchday Hospitality Award – Small Stadium title.
Categories are judged by experienced industry professionals, who attend fixtures and assess every aspect of the experience – from food quality and service to overall guest experience. The Overall Matchday Hospitality Award then recognises the best-performing venue across all stadium sizes.
With over 500 guests from more than 70 clubs expected to attend, the event is one of the most prestigious in the stadium events calendar, celebrating the teams who consistently deliver high-quality experiences both on and off the pitch.
Simon Thompson, Head of Food, Beverage & Events at Stockport County said:
“We’re incredibly proud to be shortlisted in both categories. It’s a real reflection of the work that goes in behind the scenes from our entire team to deliver a matchday experience we believe supporters and guests genuinely value.
“To be recognised again after last year’s success shows the consistency we’re striving for. Our focus is always on the details – quality of food, level of service, and creating an environment that feels special every time people walk through the doors.
“These nominations are for everyone involved, and we’re looking forward to representing the Club at the awards in July.”
The Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards, organised by Stadium Experience, recognise excellence across catering, conferences and events within UK stadium venues. This year’s ceremony where the winners will be announced will take place at Hill Dickinson Stadium, the new home of Everton FC, on Thursday 2 July 2026.
