Arc Art Spa returns to Hat Works

Arts and mental health charity, Arc, is hosting an evening of creativity in Stockport’s iconic Hat Works with the return of its popular Art Spa.

Relax and unwind with an evening of creative treatments while also raising money for the charity’s work on 8th October from 6pm. Enjoy a free drink and canapes on arrival, before trying 4 artist-led creative activities. Expect a welcoming and sociable atmosphere, with Hat Works cafe open for drinks, and a chance to win a Pamper Hamper.

Creative activities planned for the evening include:

• Clay 3D Homes Create a one-of-a kind mini masterpiece! You’ll start by kneading and rolling white, air-dry clay and cutting to shape. Experiment with decorative patterns before hand building into your own 3D clay home and allowing to air dry, perfect for display!
• Woven Book Marks Enjoy creating a colourful woven bookmark, using easy weaving techniques and your choice of patterned and plain papers. Our volunteer artists will be on hand to help you get started, with patterns and examples to inspire you. Your unique bookmark will be ready to take home and enjoy with your favourite book!
• Paper Quilling Discover the relaxing art of paper quilling, transforming colourful strips of paper into beautiful shapes and designs. Friendly guidance will help you learn a few simple techniques, to leave with a unique miniature artwork and perhaps a new creative hobby to explore.
• Collaborative Floral Watercolour Enjoy being part of something bigger with a collaborative watercolour painting, inspired by real flower displays. Feint pencil drawings by our volunteer artists will gently guide you, or more confident artists are welcome to freestyle! Perhaps drop by later to see how your part has come to life through the evening.

Arc has been changing lives through creativity for over 30 years, and all money from ticket sales, the cafe, handmade retail shop, raffle and donations help Arc to continue delivering its life-changing programmes
