
Stockport Business and Innovation Centre’s (SBIC) Pioneer10 competition is searching for ambitious entrepreneurs and businesses in the borough who can be true pioneers and make a difference to the local economy and the environment too.
The free-to-enter Pioneer10 competition is SBIC’s business acceleration programme to stimulate growth and support talent in Stockport.
The team at SBIC is looking for applications from businesses or entrepreneurs that have a business idea or proposition that will offer a solutions to meet a need, a potential environmental benefit or energy reducing benefit – no matter how big or small – for themselves, their businesses or their customers.
The free-to-enter Pioneer 10 competition is SBIC’s business support will offer participants business advice and guidance; shortlisted finalists will receive one-to-one coaching to develop their business plan before pitching their ideas to the expert judging panel during a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style final event.
The winning Pioneer will receive:
- Free office space at Stockport Business and Innovation Centre for 12 months
- An award of £5,000 to be used for prototype development in collaboration with the local University network
- Ongoing support from business experts
- Tickets to a business event of choice up to the value of £500
