Kingsmill bakery in Stockport have supported Cheadle based charity the Together Trust with a £5000 donation to their Together for Christmas appeal.
On top of the donation, the bakery also brought crates full of bread, golden pancakes and blueberry pancakes for the young people that the charity support. These have been distributed to children’s homes, adults residential homes, as well as for the breakfast club at Inscape and for the café run by students at bridge.
The money donated has gone towards vouchers that have been distributed around the Together Trust’s services allowing the people they support to buy Christmas gifts and treats.
Paula Brown, HR business partner, Kingsmill Stockport said:
“Kingsmill bakery in Bredbury has a long tradition of supporting the local community, both with vital food donations and sponsorships in sports and the arts. Since Together Trust is such an important organisation in Stockport, we were very keen to show our support for the amazing work they do in creating more inclusive societies – especially when times are tough for so many. We wish everyone at Together Trust and the people who they work with a very happy and peaceful Christmas.”
Kingsmill came into the Together Trust’s Cheadle office to present the cheque and deliver the baked goods to students from Inscape School, run by the Together Trust.
Narelle Hilton, Fundraiser at the Together Trust said:
“We are hugely grateful for such a generous donation from Kingsmill. The donation they have given will go a long way to giving the people we support the Christmas they deserve. We know Christmas can be a difficult time for a lot of the families we support. The gifts, vouchers and treats we can provide through people supporting our appeal make a real difference and make Christmas that bit brighter.”
The Together Trust’s Christmas appeal has now ended but other ways to support the charity can be found on the organisation’s website.
