Regional estate agent, Gascoigne Halman has donated a £250 slice of their £25k Community Challenge fund to Hayfield Junior Football Club, which will be used to buy brand new first aid kits.
The local team which began in 2008, has developed into a thriving community football club involving around 130 children from six to sixteen years.
The club places great emphasis on fun and participation in league, cup and friendly matches & training sessions, held on week nights at Chapel Leisure Centre. Each coach is FA qualified and volunteers their time at the club, which was awarded FA Charter Standard status in 2012 in recognition of the clubs commitment to quality coaching and child welfare.
The club requested funding to buy new first aid kits which are taken to every match and coaching session, to ensure the children’s safety.
Carl Dean, chairman of the football club explained,
“The first aid kits wear and tear and the contents needs to be replaced to ensure everything is well within its expiry date. The children’s safety is very important to us, so with this generous donation from Gascoigne Halman, we can make sure the children have access to a brand new first aid kit when they’re playing at the club.”
Gascoigne Halman celebrated their 25th anniversary by setting up a £25,000 fund to support local causes. Their aim was to select charities and community groups that create a positive impact on the local community whilst providing long term benefits for the local area.
