Stockport insurance technology firm CDL has been recognised as one of the best places to work in the UK for an eighth consecutive year after retaining its Top Employers certification.
The accreditation recognises organisations with progressive people practices, from approaches to acquiring new talent to opportunities for development and progression, as well as strong values and vision, a commitment to employee welfare and social responsibility.
The news comes after a year in which CDL reaffirmed its status as one of the UK’s leading insurance technology service providers by taking the top spot in BusinessCloud’s InsurTech 50 ranking. It also saw high-profile deployments of its Strata retail platform and Insurer Hosted Pricing solutions, for both innovative start-ups and household-name brands, including AA Insurance, Sabre Insurance and the Green Insurer, incentivises more environmentally friendly driving behaviours and is the first UK insurer to offset all carbon emissions.
It continues to offer a range of wellbeing schemes for colleagues, including a subsidised restaurant at its technology campus, social events and fundraising and volunteering opportunities, including supporting its charity Wood Street Mission, which helps disadvantaged children and families in Manchester.
Speaking of the certification, CDL chief people officer, Frank Robinson, said:
“We are delighted to be recognised as a Top Employer for an eighth consecutive year. The award is recognition of how our culture and people practices create an environment where people feel engaged and proud to contribute to the development of truly ground-breaking advancements in our market.”
The Top Employers Institute is the global authority on recognising excellence in people practices and undertakes international research each year to identify leading employers around the world. Crucial to achieving the certification is the completion of the institute’s rigorous HR Best Practice Survey, which covers topics ranging from Talent Acquisition and Learning to Diversity and Inclusion. To ensure the validity of the certification process, all survey responses are subject to an independent external audit.
