Stockport Council is encouraging residents to come along to Reddish Vale Country Park to take part in a tree planting day.
Stockport Council is working with Red Rose Forest, who have supplied over 300 trees, to deliver the planting project.
The tree planting event takes place on Wednesday 5th December, from 10.00am to 3.00pm. People attending the outdoor based event should wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.
Councillor Kevin Hogg, Stockport Council’s Executive Member for Public Realm, said: “The tree planting event at Reddish Vale Country Park is a really good way to bring people together and improve the park. I would encourage residents to support this fantastic event and help make a positive difference to the park.”
Everyone is welcome to attend the free event and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Reddish Vale Country Park. People should meet at the visitor centre.
