The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has released a new resource pack to help businesses understand best practices and government guidance for keeping staff and customers safe from Covid-19 in workplaces.
The UKHSA works to prevent infectious disease by influencing behaviour; it detects and monitors infectious diseases and hazards to health, analysing them to advise how best to control them and takes action to mitigate and resolve outbreaks as and when they occur.
The Resource Pack for Workplaces contains:
- important information including local authority and public health contacts in Greater Manchester
- key information regarding Covid-19 and subsequent messaging
- best practices for management of a suspected Covid-19 case, a confirmed case, and multiple cases or an outbreak within a work setting
- frequently asked questions including on Test and Trace, self-isolation and workplace testing
- template documents and checklists for recording and managing Covid-19 cases and staff absences
Please note, as Covid-19 is a rapidly evolving situation, guidance may change with little notice. In addition to familiarising yourself with the pack, UKHSA recommends you refer to the relevant national guidance – links provided in Section 7 of the resource pack.
