Parfetts, the employee-owned wholesaler, whose head office is in Stockport, announced this week that it has defied the economic climate of the past year to post “record levels” of pre-tax and operating profit.
Managing director, David Grimes said: “We are delighted that our company has yet again achieved an excellent set of annual trading results. In spite of the economic challenges, we have once more increased turnover year-on-year. In addition, the changes made to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business, combined with improved trading margins, has led to significant increases in our profitability.
Parfetts was first founded in Stockport in 1980. Now, three decades later, the company also has branches in Halifax, Somercotes in Derbyshire, Sheffield and two Merseyside depots in Aintree and Anfield.
