Tandem strengthens team

Tandem Investments, developer behind the transformation of Stockport’s former M&S store into STOK, has announced two key appointments.

Simon Edwards joins Tandem as Director, and Joey White joins as Property Manager, with the firm increasing its headcount to six.

Simon Edwards, Managing Director of William Fishwick & Son, brings a wealth of experience in development and asset management, having delivered new build and major refurbishment schemes throughout the North West over the last decade as well as managing a large commercial property portfolio. Simon commented:

“I have worked alongside Richard and Chris on a number of joint ventures over the last couple of years. Synergies were apparent between our respective companies and so when this opportunity presented itself, it felt like a good fit. Joining the team will further strengthen the Tandem Investments offering to our clients and I am looking forward to joining Tandem Investments full time and growing the company further alongside my co-directors.”

William Fishwick & Son will remain active in the market with Tandem Investments now appointed as sole Asset Manager.

Joey White has joined from Scarborough Group in New Zealand where he managed a mixed commercial property portfolio. He decided to emigrate to the UK earlier this year and has joined as a Portfolio Manager to assist with delivering the business plans for the various assets Tandem manages.

Tandem co-founder, Chris Lloyd added:

The portfolio has gone from strength to strength over the last two years, now with over 1 million sq ft and £75m of assets under management.”

Tandem is continuing to grow its team and is currently looking to recruit an in-house solicitor to further bolster their in-house capability and resource. The business was co-founded in 2023 by Richard Rees and Chris Lloyd, specialising in the investment and development of industrial and office space throughout the North and Midlands.
