Synergy Recruitment are putting themselves through their paces and taking on six challenges and fundraising events throughout 2023 to raise money for The Christie.
From half-marathons to the more extreme, the team are putting themselves to the test with a series of challenges designed to raise funds and awareness for The Christie, a charity close to everyone at Synergy Recruitment.
Around the Northwest, you’d be hard pressed to find someone without an association with The Christie or that The Christie hasn’t helped, either directly or indirectly, through the care and support they provide to both patients and to the families of people with cancer, across the region and throughout the UK.

The first Synergy Challenge for The Christie saw director Marie taking on the Wilmslow Half Marathon, pushing herself to run further and harder than she had before following the charity’s care` and commitment following treatment of her mother a decade ago. Marie, a Co-Founder and Director at Synergy Recruitment, said:
“The Christie is a charity very close to my heart. I completed the Wilmslow Half Marathon, both as a personal challenge and knowing that my efforts have gone to help people and families throughout the UK.
“Everyone at Synergy Recruitment is excited to be taking on the challenges throughout 2023 and helping to support such a worthwhile cause”.
On the 16th of April, Yasmin – also a Co-Founder and Director at Synergy – took on the Manchester Marathon for the next Synergy Recruitment challenge in support of the charity. Yasmin explained:
“Like everyone in this part of the world, The Christie has a very special place in my heart too. They helped my dad through his bowel cancer diagnosis and throughout his treatment. To be able to do whatever I can to help them continue to make such a difference for so many people is amazing.”
The Christie is an outstanding trust, and the largest single cancer treatment centre in Europe, supporting and treating over 60,000 patients per year. Through the challenges that the Synergy Recruitment team will continue to take on this year, they’re hoping their challenges will help to raise as much money as possible for The Christie to support and enable them to continue their work.
