Supportability tees up for another day of golf and fundraising

The 31^st Supportability Annual Golf Day will be back at Heaton Moor Golf Club on Friday 5th July 2024 as the charity marks its 70th year of supporting local people with disabilities and their carers.

The charity are looking for businesses to support this event, and team places and sponsorship packages start from just £300. As well as making a positive difference to people’s lives in Stockport, people will have the opportunity to raise their profile and network, and have lots of fun at the same time. 

The annual fundraising event has been held at Heaton Moor Golf Club for the past 30 years, and in 2023 they raised over £17,000.

These funds go a long way in enabling the people they support to live fulfilled and independent lives. They also give their carers the opportunity to have a break from their caring responsibilities and ensuring everyone’s health and well-being is maintained.

Heaton Moor Golf Club is a beautiful course set in mature landscape, which is suitable for players of all abilities. On the day, people can meet some of the people that the charity supports, hear their first-hand experiences and cheer them on as they take part in the inclusive Disability Golfing Session. There are also prizes for nearest the pin and longest drive, as well as a silent auction and raffle. After whetting up an appetite, there will be a ‘nineteenth hole’ of food, drink and a presentation to finish off the day.
