Stockport’s finance and professional services sectors invited to discuss Bank of England’s August Monetary Policy Report

Businesses from Stockport’s finance and professional services sectors are invited to attend a networking event and hear from Ken Clark, Deputy Agent for the Bank of England in the North West.

The upcoming South Manchester Financial & Professional networking event, which will be held at the Deanwater Hotel, Stockport, will take place Thursday 22nd September 2022, exclusively for businesses in the Finance and Professional Services sectors. only.

The meeting will cover the Bank of England’s August Monetary Policy Report, presented by Ken Clark, Deputy Agent for the Bank of England in the North West.

Network chair, Chris Booth will welcome attendees and introduce the morning’s agenda. There will also be an opportunity to network and collaborate with other representatives from the sector.

Guest speaker:

Ken Clark joined the Bank of England as Deputy Agent for the North West in April 2022. A former academic, he has published widely in the area of labour economics and held a number of leadership roles in higher education.

Between 2015 and 2021 Ken served as the economist member of the School Teachers’ Review Body which advises the Department for Education on teacher pay in English schools. He holds an undergraduate degree in Politics and Political Economy from the University of Glasgow and a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Manchester.

Ken lives in the High Peak and enjoys running and listening to music in his spare time.

The event will take place on Thursday 22nd September 2022. With registration and breakfast taking place from 7.30am and presentations starting at 8.15am. The event should conclude by 9.15am, allowing for further networking.
