A Stockport based travel firm has announced ambitious growth plans as the sector prepares for a post-pandemic boom.
Bramhall-headquartered The Inspire Group says the firm is preparing itself for the peak holiday booking period in January, and is expecting stronger-than-ever sales as travel restrictions are eased and testing costs reduced for holidaymakers.
Research released by WTM London shows that four in 10 consumers intend to spend more on holidays than they did back in 2019. The study also found that half of Brits want to take two or more holidays in 2022, and 70 per cent plan to take at least one holiday next year.
Lisa Henning (pictured), Managing Director, The Inspire Group said:
The outlook for travel has never been so good, and on the back of the worst trading period in history, this latest research is much welcome news and confirms our belief that travel is set for a boom.
“We know that there is already a huge pent-up demand for travel, as we have seen our sales grow month by month as restrictions for travel have eased.”
The Stockport travel firm has unveiled plans to double its workforce over the next three years, and has begun a recruitment drive ahead of the expected January peak in demand. The Inspire Group currently has vacancies for travel sales consultants, call centre staff and after-sales advisors at its office in Bramhall, as well as for home-based travel advisors. Henning concluded:
“Over the past year we have been finalists in The Travel Trade Gazette’s top 50 call centre of the year, and the Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards, so any new recruits can be assured that by joining us they would be joining a company that is very focused on delivering exceptionally high levels of customer service.
“Many Brits will be booking their next year’s summer holiday in January, and we are keen to get as many of the new vacancies filled over the coming weeks and begin training our new team members.”
