C&C Healthcare are headline sponsors of this year’s Stockport Rugby Festival, the hugely popular minis rugby festival being held at Stockport Rugby Club on October 2.
A total of 40 teams will compete from across the Stockport borough and the north west and, based on previous years, will attract around 1,200 adult supporters, including a significant number of business owners and senior managers.
Stockport based C&C Group’s managing director Malcolm Cooke sees a significant value in supporting sports clubs and sporting initiatives and for many reasons.
He said: “I love sport and, as C&C Insurance Brokers, we already sponsor Sale Sharks, Lancashire County Cricket Club and a number of local sporting clubs.
“But it is also important that we encourage sport among the juniors and support the next generation.
“Our sister company C&C Healthcare is an ideal fit for the minis rugby.”
C&C Healthcare Limited are Healthcare Insurance Brokers and Employee Benefits specialists. They search for and recommend the best and most appropriate plan provider for individuals and company private medical schemes.
Co-organiser and managing director of Assured Events, Karl Perry, adds: “There are a number of opportunities for local businesses to get involved and contribute to club funds to help the development of the U9-U12s rugby teams.
“Each package can be designed to suit the sponsor.
“There will be a sponsored balloon race, launched before the first kick-off, to see which Stockport company can take the Stockport message the furthest – the last time we ran this the furthest one was returned from the west coast of Ireland.”
Reflecting the SRUFC colours, the following packages have been created:
- Red £200: 12 balloons
- Green £100: 5 balloons
- White £50: 2 balloons
Marketing Stockport is also pleased to be supporting the Stockport Rugby Festival.
