Stockport based printer, Deanprint, will move to new premises on Lawnhurst Trading Estate in Cheadle, marking an end to more than a century trading at its previous home.
The business has signed a 15 year lease on a recently refurbished 22,000 sq ft unit at Logicor’s Lawnhurst Trading Estate after 102 years at Cheadle Heath Works. The move follows Deanprint’s acquisition by Eccles-headquartered Manchester Printers Group (MPG) earlier this year.
David Thurrold, managing director of Deanprint, said of the move:
“While our previous premises served us well for over 100 years, we are excited to be starting a new chapter in this modern, sustainable building that perfectly suits our business space needs, enabling us to best serve our local and UK-wide customers.”
James Carney, Logicor’s senior asset manager, added:
“Unit 16 has undergone a full refurbishment to bring the property back to life, providing high-quality, sustainable business space in this established industrial location.
“We are very pleased to provide a new home, on a long-term lease, for this local business and welcome them as a new customer to our UK portfolio.”
The relocation for the Stockport printer will make way for plans to progress for the demolition of Cheadle Heath Works. Stockport Council is currently considering a planning application for a new Lidl supermarket to be constructed on the site as part of ongoing expansion plans for the German discount retailer.
