Homelessness charity, The Wellspring, is calling on the local community to help make Christmas special for people experiencing homelessness or isolation in Stockport.
Every day, The Wellspring supports individuals in Stockport experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their homes by providing hot meals, healthcare, 1:1 support, accommodation advice, and help with everything from mental health to employment and finances. Many of the people who come through The Wellspring’s doors face incredibly tough challenges, and the charity’s aim is simple: to ensure that no one in Stockport has to face them alone.
As Christmas approaches, The Wellspring has launched its Christmas Dinner Appeal — a campaign that gives people experiencing homelessness or isolation the chance to enjoy a warm festive meal, essential supplies, and a safe, welcoming place on Christmas Day and beyond.
Janet Parish, Business and Community Liaison at The Wellspring, said:
“We believe that no one should have to face Christmas alone or hungry. With the support of generous local residents, we can make this festive season a little brighter for those in need.”
