Stockport-headquarted utilities firm, OCU Group, has revealed its annual revenue has exceeded £1 billion in its Annual Report and financial statements for the year ended 30 April 2026.
The firm saw its group revenue grow 37.8% to £1,221.2 million, up from £886.5 million in 2025, with operating profit of £136.1 million, and boasts an order book of contracted work and framework opportunities in excess of £4 billion. The firm also completed a number of key acquisitions, including strengthening its international capabilities, particularly in the high-growth Australia and New Zealand energy markets.
Closer to home in Stockport, the business has also doubled its floorspace at its offices in STOK in the town centre. OCU Group has signed a 10-year lease on 14,900 sq ft at the scheme, more than doubling its footprint in the converted M&S store where it previously occupied 6,300 sq ft, and adding to its head office on Greek Street.
Michael Hughes, Chief Executive Officer of OCU Group, said:
“Surpassing £1bn in annual revenue for the first time is a significant achievement for OCU Group. It reflects the strength of our people, the trust of our clients, and the effectiveness of a strategy built on operational excellence, disciplined growth, and long-term infrastructure investment.”
David Snowball, Chief Financial Officer of OCU Group, added:
“OCU Group has delivered another year of strong, profitable growth, while establishing our international platform in Australia and New Zealand. The quality of that growth matters as much as its scale: disciplined commercial control, strong working capital management and continued investment in the people, systems and capabilities that make growth sustainable.
“With a resilient capital structure and robust financial footing, we enter FY27 from a position of strength, well placed to deliver for clients, colleagues and shareholders long into the future.”
