The C&C Claims Team has completed the hat-trick of three major award in one year, winning the coveted Claims Team of the Year title at the UK Broker Awards 2026.
The celebrations took place at The Vox in Birmingham, where 450 guests gathered for one of the highlights of the insurance broking calendar. Hosted by comedian Mark Watson, the awards followed a busy day at Insurance Age’s Broker Expo 2026.
With C&C’s MD Malcolm Cooke leading the charge, C&C’s team consistently demonstrates what true client service should look like, a big factor in our 97.4% client retention rate.
Steve Lockey, C&C Claims Director, said:
“I’m beyond thrilled for the team! To win three major awards in one year is something none of us could have imagined, and it’s a fantastic recognition of the work everyone puts in, day in, day out. Handling claims is never an easy job. We’re often dealing with clients at some of the most difficult and stressful times they’ll face, and that brings huge responsibility to get things right. I’m incredibly lucky to work with people who genuinely care, who go the extra mile and who aren’t afraid to roll their sleeves up and fight their clients’ corner. Being there last night to see the team recognised once again was another proud moment. They thoroughly deserve all the plaudits they’re getting.”
There was even more great news for C&C on the night, with Jack Sands from C&C’s Sports Division receiving Highly Commended in the Young Broker of the Year category.
For Managing Director Malcolm Cooke, it was an evening that highlighted both the strength of C&C’s established teams and the talent coming through the business:
“What a night! I’m absolutely delighted for our Claims Team. Three major awards in one year are an incredible achievement and thoroughly deserved. They’re a brilliant bunch of people who work incredibly hard for our clients, and I couldn’t be prouder of them.
“And to see Jack recognised as Highly Commended is fantastic too. He’s got a great attitude, tremendous integrity and really cares about doing the right thing for his clients. That’s exactly what we want to see in the next generation of C&C people. It was a cracking evening for everyone involved… I’m not sure how we’re going to top this next year!
“This industry recognition reflects C&C’s wider success: our increasing number of divisions and offices, hitting a headcount of 180, and our greatest-ever income figure lies ahead of expansion plans still in the pipeline. So, if we were to say the mood is buoyant at C&C, it would be an understatement!”
