A burger joint in Stockport was named the best takeaway in the North West in the 2021 British Takeaway Awards.
Bun & Bones Club in Hazel Grove was one of three Stockport eateries named as finalists for the regional prize; The Spinn in Gatley and LAPD Food in the town centre were also shortlisted. Jungle Grill, which has a branch in Stockport town centre, was also a finalist for The Best Restaurant Chain.
Comedian Paddy McGuinness presented the owners of the Stockport burger joint with their award at a live black-tie ceremony in London on 6th September.
Established in 2014, Bun & Bones Club on London Road in Hazel Grove has garnered a strong local reputation for its wings, fries and extensive menu of loaded burgers, and its loyal following helped the takeaway be nominated for its award on the back of a public vote earlier this year, before the winners were chosen by a panel of judges.
The British Takeaway Awards were set up by online takeaway ordering portal, Just Eat, and are now in their sixth year. In addition to prestige and a British Takeaway Awards trophy, regional winners receive £1,000 cash, £200 per site to spend at Just Eat.
