
A coding course for Stockport residents aged 18-30 has opened to applicants looking to start or advance careers in the tech and creative industries.
Run by MadLab, Shift Click’s Introduction to Web Development course has been running since 2019 has already supported hundreds of learners, who have gone onto to secure jobs with the likes of Autotrader, Co-op Digital, Waters, the BBC, Factory International, FutureEverything, Talk Talk, Accenture, and many more.
The Autumn 2025 course starts on Wednesday 26th November at Stockport Museum and runs every Wednesday and Thursday from 10am to 3pm for four weeks. There is also a short onboarding session on the 21st November, and optional online Friday sessions for those wanting to take their learning further. The course and ongoing support will include:
- Access to Shift Click’s online Community Hub, and access to 1-to-1 online mentor support from tech industry professionals
- Expert employment support – for as long as needed
- Lunch and refreshments
