Following on from the news that Muse Developments have begun developing the former Grand Central area – work may begin to develop office accommodation on the site of the former Royal Mail depot in the town centre, just off Wellington Road and subject to planning approval.
Phase 1 of the the Grand Central scheme began in March this year with future phases to continue until the whole project is completed in 2020. The development will form an impressive gateway to Stockport comprising high quality offices, hotel and improved car parking facilities at Stockport rail station.
Temporary car parking for commuters and users of existing leisure facilities will be provided during its construction.
