The Supported Internship Team and Stockport charity, Pure Innovations, has been named Team of the Year at the Greater Manchester Skills Awards 2025.
While being shortlisted was already a huge honour for the charity, taking home the top prize is a truly incredible achievement. The award recognises the outstanding work of the Pure Supported Internship team, who go above and beyond to support young people with learning disabilities, neurodiversities and mental health related problems to make the transition into paid employment and enhance key social skills. Interns are empowered to build confidence, develop new skills, and take those vital first steps into the world of work.
The team’s win is a celebration not only of the team’s passion and commitment, but of the achievements of every intern, employer partner, job coach, and supporter involved in the programme.
Commenting on the success of its Supported Internship Team, the charity wrote on its website:
“A huge congratulations to the team and thank you to everyone who plays a part in making our Supported Internships such a success. We couldn’t be prouder!“
Hosted by the Greater Manchester Learning Provider Network (GMLPN) and Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC), the GM Skills Awards celebrate excellence across the further education and skills sector, shining a spotlight on the people, providers and partnerships making a real difference to learners’ lives.
