
Pure College, an Employability Specialist College operated by Stockport charity, Pure Innovations, has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
Pure College was inspected by Ofsted between 30 June and 2 July 2025. The education sector regulator rated the college as ‘Good’ overall, with a ‘Good’ rating in all key areas, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and provision for learners with high needs.
The report said:
- “Students flourish in the friendly, calm and welcoming environment that staff create.”
- “Leaders have implemented ambitious, employability-focused curriculums that give students the skills they need to progress.”
- “Students feel safe. They know how to report any concerns they have.”
The Ofsted inspection was the first for Pure College since opening in The Mailbox in Stockport town centre.
Pure College provides dedicated support for young people aged 16-24 with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) and is focused on getting young people work-ready. Students also have access to a range of wellbeing support including: one-to-one curriculum support; practical strategies and monitoring; signposting to external services and partners; and access to Pure’s Talking Therapies Service.
