Pet food subscription service, The Cool Cat Club, is the latest business attracted to Stockport’s excellent connectivity, having let a 10,755 sq ft warehouse unit at Lawnhurst Trading Estate off Bird Hall Lane in Cheadle.
Logistics real estate specialist Logicor, which owns the building, recently completed a full refurbishment of the warehouse space, which has also improved the Stockport site’s sustainability with new LED lighting and an air-source heating system.
Manchester-based The Cool Cat Club aims to take advantage of Stockport’s location within four hours of major population centres, like Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and London to ensure the 29% of UK households that own a cat can reliably receive monthly pet food subscription deliveries.
James Carney, UK director of asset management at Logicor, said:
“The Cool Cat Club is a great example of a how local businesses can turn to Logicor for high-quality, refurbished, sustainable and strategically located warehouse space that supports their growth ambitions by allowing them to supply their customers easily and efficiently.”
Paul Johnson, co-founder of the Cool Cat Club, added:
“We’re all about taking the pain points out of cat food, so having good transport links was crucial to us to deliver our monthly orders on time. We were impressed with the site which has been refurbished to a clean and high standard meaning we can grow our customer base and offer many more market leading products for pets.”
