Small businesses from across Northern England are being invited to take part in a series of online events to help them take practical steps towards reaching Net Zero carbon emissions.
In conjunction with the NP11 group of Northern Local Enterprise Partnerships, BEIS is holding “Your business journey to Net Zero”. The event will take place virtually on Friday 19th March from 09:40-16:20 and event content is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses in the North of England.
‘Your business journey to Net Zero’, is a series of virtual regional events, designed to help small businesses who want to play their part in climate change, but don’t know where is best to start. The events will deliver tools, solutions and ideas to help small businesses map their best next steps.
The next event is on the 19th March with a focus on the North of England. Not only can attendees to learn about practical solutions for small businesses wishing to embark on their own Net Zero journey; they can also consider the business opportunities stemming from the transition to a low carbon economy.
Your business journey to Net Zero will facilitate understanding of practical steps for SMEs who wish to embark on their own Net Zero journey; the event also seeks to help businesses consider the opportunities stemming from the transition to a low carbon economy. There will be multiple presentations and interaction with leaders on this subject. We are delighted to confirm that the Minister for Climate Change, Lord Callanan and the Government’s UK Net Zero Business Champion, Andrew Griffith MP, will be addressing the event.
In addition, there will be a virtual exhibition hall for delegates to find out about their Local Enterprise Partnership, along with more products and services that will be of interest to them as they look to lower their carbon emissions.
