
Stockport based Construction Project Management and Health & Safety Consultants Green PM have recruited expert Rachel Tate to the team.
Rachel’s move to Green PM follows a successful 2016 for the which saw a move to larger premises and an increasing workload for clients such as ENWL, Place First, Cheshire East Council and Lancaster University.
Rachel`s appointment in February 2017 takes the overall Green PM team to 11 and demonstrates its ongoing commitment to sustainable construction practices.

Prior to graduating with a distinction from the University of Salford with an MSc in Project Management and Construction, for the last ten years Rachel worked as an Expedition Leader and Outdoor Pursuits Instructor, where her travels have taken her as far afield as the Arctic Circle.
Closer to home the renovation of four apartments for the Private Rental Sector (PRS) in 2011 was the catalyst that started Rachel`s journey towards becoming a project manager.
Rachel explained:
“I am finding many synergies between my previous career and project management; a client focus, problem solving, the ability to work under pressure, individually and part of a team, are all skills that I possess.
“Research undertaken as part of my dissertation made me realise that SME’s provide an environment in which I could thrive; Green PM is just such an organisation and MD Jonathan Greenhalgh is an extremely knowledgeable and approachable person. This is an amazing opportunity to learn within a supportive environment, from colleagues with a wealth of experience.”
Rachel was also attracted by the fact that Green PM have a diverse team which is split 50/50 by female and male employees, quite unusual within the construction industry where around only 13% of the workforce are women.
Rachel added:

Rachel is currently working on schemes at Cheadle Hulme High School, Mariners Park Wallasey and Godiva Place Coventry.
