Muse appoints Head of Residential

Muse, the regeneration specialist involved with a number of Stockport town centre developments, has announced the appointment of Stephanie Smith (pictured) as its Head of Residential.

Stephanie will join Muse’s leadership team in a role which is focussed on amplifying the impact, and accelerating the delivery of new homes across the country. Her appointment will support the delivery of the firm’s expanding residential pipeline and continued strategic growth and see her work closely with local teams and public sector partners.

She brings over two decades of experience across the residential and mixed-use sector, having built her career across UK, European, and US markets. Stephanie joins from her post as Head of Group Strategy at APO Group, where she provided strategic advice for residential assets, including guidance on investments and acquisitions. This also involved supporting the design process with a focus on ESG and social impact.

Before her tenure at APO Group, Stephanie served as Director of Residential Operations for Invesco EMEA, concentrating on the strategic expansion of its European living sector markets.

A prominent leader in the living sector markets, Stephanie is a member of the Joint Education Task Force for The Property Institute (TPI) and Association for Rental Living (ARL). She has contributed to both the Build-to-rent (BTR) Best Practice Guide and the BTR Certification Programmes. Stephanie also chairs the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the ARL and was recently appointed to its Board.
