Muse, the nationwide placemaker, has appointed Jadon Dooley as Apprentice Project Manager in the North West.
Jadon returns to the team, which is involved in a number of major regeneration projects in Stockport including as Stockport Exchange and Stockport 8, after a successful placement with the business as part of his T-Level studies at Oldham College earlier this year.
Jadon returns to the Greater Manchester-based team after a successful placement with the business as part of his T-Level studies at Oldham College earlier this year. The first of its kind, the partnership provides students studying Design, Surveying and Planning the opportunity to work with Muse and other partner organisations in the built environment.
In January 2025 Jadon Dooley arrived as part of the latest pair of T-Level students to benefit from the partnership. Over the course of several months, Dooley worked alongside Muse design and professional consultant teams and their partners on several projects. This included the £450m transformation of his hometown, Oldham, where Muse are working in partnership with Oldham Council to deliver a vision for a new, thriving, town centre.
During this period Jadon also undertook site visits, attended the UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREIIF), and received extensive guidance and support from colleagues. This included from those involved in Muse Academy, which was designed by the nationwide placemaker to create more opportunities for young people within the placemaking and regeneration industry.
After successfully completing his placement and studies at college, Jadon has been welcomed back to Muse in a new apprentice role. He will balance this with his time at Salford University where he begins a course in Real Estate Development and Management in September.
Phil Marsden, Managing Director at Muse – North West, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Jadon back to the team. During his time with us he showed a real desire and passion for high-quality placemaking and how our work can make a positive difference in communities.
“We are committed to ensuring young people have access to the wide range of opportunities across the regeneration sector, including in the places where we are working. Our partnership with Oldham College is a great example of how we are helping bring through the next generation of industry professionals by going right to the grassroots to inform, involve, and inspire students like Jadon to pursue a career in the built environment.
“As we move forward Jadon’s insight will make an important contribution to the progress of our Oldham project, and we hope that our decades of experience will support his own development.”
Jadon Dooley, Apprentice Project Manager at Muse, said:
“It’s a huge honour to be returning to Muse as Apprentice Project Manager. My time spent with the team was hugely beneficial, not only aiding in my development but giving me the confidence and enthusiasm to want to pursue a career in the regeneration industry.
“When the opportunity arose for me to come back, it was a no brainer. Muse is not only doing exciting things, but has a genuine, clear, commitment to developing people and providing a wide range of opportunities. I am excited to continue my career progress while helping to deliver exciting new places across the North West – including in my hometown of Oldham.”
