Manchester-founded insurtech, Ripe, has announced the opening of its new office at Stockport Exchange, more than doubling its footprint of its previous workspace.
The specialist digital insurance provider has upgraded from a 60-seat Wythenshawe office to a much larger workspace that can accommodate 150 staff members. The move marks a significant milestone in the company’s continued growth and signals its long-term commitment to Stockport.
The new office at Stockport Exchange features 20 meeting rooms, enhanced collaboration spaces, upgraded technology, and benefits from rapid access to Stockport train station which links Ripe to Manchester City Centre in eight minutes and London in under two hours.
Ripe becomes part of an expanding network of prominent businesses at Stockport Exchange, a vibrant commercial centre that currently accommodates more than 2,000 professionals. The move reflects considerable confidence in Stockport’s rise as one of the North West’s most dynamic business districts.
Ripe is a specialist insurance provider with over 20 leisure, lifestyle and commercial products. Founded in Manchester, Ripe has grown steadily over recent years to serve more than 430,000 UK customers, as well as expanding its product offering and strengthening its technology capabilities. The new office enables ongoing recruitment, helps keep local talent in the region, and supports additional investment in the North West.
Commenting on the move, Alan Thomas, CEO, Ripe said:
“Greater Manchester has always been central to our story. It’s where we were founded, where we’ve built our culture, and where we continue to find exceptional talent. Moving to Stockport Exchange is a natural next step for us. It gives us the space and infrastructure to scale our digital-first model, invest further in our technology, and create high-quality jobs in the region.
“At Ripe, we protect the hobbies, interests and passions that people really care about – whether that’s in their personal or professional lives. We’re excited to find a new home in Stockport which also has a rich cultural history in music and sport.”
