Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is the latest airline announced to begin flying from Manchester Airport’s recently reopened Terminal Two.
The Pakistani flag carrier will begin flights from the flagship super-terminal, recently renovated as part of a £1 billion transformation programme. Currently the airline is running a reduced schedule due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and is flying departing passengers from Manchester on a late afternoon or early evening departure two to three times per week.
From Wednesday 11th August, PIA will join 10 other airlines serving passengers from the new-look Terminal Two. Also flying from the terminal are:
- Jet2.com
- TUI
- Singapore Airlines
- Etihad Airways
- Qatar Airways
- Brussels Airlines
- airBaltic
- Ethiopian Airlines
- Aegean Airlines
- Eurowings
Passengers travelling with PIA should use Terminal Two from Wednesday 11 August – flights prior to then will continue to operate from Terminal One. Those with Manchester Airport car park or lounge bookings in Terminal One on or after 11 August will have them moved across and customers will be notified accordingly.
As summer progresses and international travel restrictions ease, further airlines will move across and these moves will be communicated appropriately. Passengers can also keep an eye on the airport’s social media channels for the latest advice, guidance and information.
Government Advice and Restrictions
In addition to checking the latest airport information, passengers are also advised to keep abreast of Government restrictions and advice. This includes testing, quarantine, what passengers need to do before they travel, as each country/destination will have its own requirements, plus what they need to do on return.
Manchester Airport has extensive testing facilities on site, offering pre and post travel options. Passengers can also read all about Manchester Airport’s Covid-19 safety measures here.
