Heaton Chapel’s Littlewoods Butchers has been shortlisted at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival (MFDF) Awards in the Food and Drink Retailer of the Year category.
Established in 1964, Littlewoods Butchers supply the public and hospitality trade with local, free range, naturally reared, and traceable meat mainly sourced from the Cheshire plains. 2023 marks the business’s first time being nominated for the prestigious award.
The annual MFDF Awards showcase Greater Manchester’s many excellent food and drink businesses and talented hospitality professionals. The shortlists have been compiled by a judging panel, made up of the region’s leading food and drink critics, writers and experts, however, winners will be decided by an online public vote.
The business is one of 14 Stockport businesses to be recognised in this year’s MFDF awards, together making the borough the most represented area of Greater Manchester after the city centre. The town has also been shortlisted once more in the Foodie Neighbourhood of the Year category in further recognition of the growing quality and range of its food and drink offering.
Public voting for the MFDF Awards runs until 20th November 2023 via the awards website here.
Winners of the MFDF Awards will be revealed at an awards ceremony at Manchester’s New Century on 29th January 2024. Winners from Stockport in last year’s awards include restaurant Where The Light Gets In, and the town centre’s monthly street food market, Foodie Friday.
