Reddish based creative business, Kitsch Republic, is teaming up with well loved Stockport artists and makers and hosting the Stockport Pop Up Shop in Merseyway from Monday 1st December until Sunday 7th December.
Kitsch Republic is a well established small business in Stockport, manufacturing coasters, lampshades and velvet cushions from their Reddish workshop. The week-long residency in the Stockport Pop Up will be a treasure trove of amazing gift ideas, with a strong focus on Stockport related items.
Angela Dennerley from Kitsch Republic said:
“We are really looking forward to our week-long residency at the Stockport Pop Up, we have hosted several Pop Ups in this store over the years, and they are always well received and well loved by Merseyway customers. This year we will be stocking 15 Stockport based Artists and Makers, and we all will be working in the store and showcasing our products directly to the public. There really will be something for everyone this Christmas in our Pop Up!”
Merseyway’s Centre Manager, Victoria Nichol, said:
“I’m delighted to welcome back Kitsch Republic and the collective of talented Stockport artists and makers to the Pop Up at Merseyway. It’s fantastic to see such creativity and craftsmanship coming from our local community. The Pop Up will be a real celebration of Stockport’s independent spirit — full of unique, locally made gifts ideal for stocking fillers and Christmas gifts. We’re proud to provide a platform for small businesses like Kitsch Republic to showcase their work and connect with shoppers in the heart of the town centre.”
Stockport Pop Up is located next to Waterstones in Merseyway, Stockport, with Kitsch Republic taking over the Pop Up Dec 1st – 7th. Opening times will be 9am – 5pm each day, with Sundays 10-4.
The Pop Up will feature local arists including Lucy Burgess, Kate Obrien, Eric Jackson, Annie Brown, Charming Badger and also a host of makers including Hug & Co, Jazz Loves Art and Kitsch Republic — expect lots of Stockport based gifts, along with a strong nod to Mancunian Nostalgia!
