Bring your ideas to the exciting new digital Stockport Hackathon taking place this Saturday.
Stockport’s Hackathon invites you to suggest ideas and develop technical solutions to help citizens of Stockport connect with their wider community. For example, to assist people to discover and connect with activities, events, organisations, and community groups they are interested in.
At the end of the Hackathon, all participants will be given the opportunity to present their ideas in front of their peers and a panel of judges including a representative from Government Digital Service (GDS) and others from the local tech community, Stockport Council and local businesses.
Councillor David Sedgwick, Executive Member for Reform and Governance at Stockport Council said: “We hope to draw on the enormous resource of skill and creativity that exists in Stockport and harness innovative new ideas for the good of the wider community. This is a great opportunity for participants to learn something new, enjoy making things with like-minded people and use their skills to enrich the lives of others and improve the place they live in.”
