Great Minds Together (GMT), a Stockport-based non-profit that provides specialist services for neurodivergent individuals, is set to launch a new Sensory Pod on 30th January 2026.
The Sensory Pod, developed by Murray’s Medical, provides a dedicated space, designed to provide calm, comfort and control in a world that can often feel overwhelming to neurodivergent people. Suitable for use in schools, healthcare settings or family homes and other residential settings, the pod offers customisable sensory environment to help reduce stress, support self-regulator and promote independence.
Emma Mander, the CEO of Great Minds Together, said:
“We’re excited to collaborate with Murray’s Medical UK in bringing this transformative resource to the families and professionals we work with. The Sensory Pod is not just a tool but a lifeline for many young people who struggle with sensory overload or emotional dysregulation. It aligns perfectly with our mission to create inclusive educational and healthcare environments where all children can thrive.”
Steven Heatley-Hughes, Northern Area Manager at Murray’s Medical UK, added:
“Partnering with Great Minds Together will ensure that we can showcase the calming and therapeutic benefits of The Sensory Pod to many more schools, hospitals, and clinics who have a growing need for sensory care. Short spells in the pod help to manage the disruption caused by sensory overload events by providing a safe haven for users and supporting emotional regulation. Adults who experience just a short session say that they feel calm and relaxed within minutes – it really is a unique experience.”
GMT is giving the opportunity to test out the pod at a launch event on 30th January at its offices on King Street West, Stockport.
During the visit, attendees will have the chance to step inside the pod and discuss how it can be integrated into different settings. The GMT team will be available throughout the session to answer questions, demonstrate its capabilities and help envision how the Sensory Pod can enhance provision for neurodivergent individuals.
Spaces can be booked via Eventbrite. Due to limited room capacity, GMT ask that no more than four representatives from each organisation attend at any one time.
