Young people planning for the future in work are invited to free training sessions next week.
Youngsters can sign up for these sessions on Friday, August 26, between 10am and 3pm at the Stockport Council’s Services for Stockport’s Young People building located at the Stockport Exchange next to Subway on the A6.
By signing up, the young people will also get a free Megarider ticket and a £10 gift voucher.
The training sessions will be available in the following areas:
– Getting motivated and feeling positive
– Getting ready for interviews
– Becoming more employable
– Creating a CV
– Managing your money
– Meeting training providers who provide Apprenticeships and Traineeships
Councillor Colin Foster, Stockport Council’s Executive Member Children and Family Services, said: “These training sessions are a great opportunity for our local young people to explore available career paths and how to be better prepared for employment. I would encourage those who are interested, no matter what their experience or ability, to sign up and learn new skills.”
This event is funded by the European Social Fund.
