
A popular networking event for the finance and professional services sectors in Stockport and South Manchester returns in June for its next quarterly meeting.
The South Manchester Financial & Professional Network, established by Stockport Economic Alliance and Stockport Council, will return to the Deanwater Hotel on Thursday 30th June.
The event will provide an opportunity to network and collaborate with other representatives from the sector. There will be topical presentations and information sharing that can help build your business.
Chris Booth, the network chair, will welcome and introduce the morning’s agenda before guest speakers take to the floor. Speaking at the June networking event are:
- Rupert Greenhalgh, Growth Company: Economic and labour market skills and Business Survey results
Rupert is Head of Business intelligence at the Growth Company, with over twenty-five years’ experience in economic development, including the development of large programmes of strategic research, strategy and policy formulation, and public policy. He has extensive applied and academic expertise in the fields of business support, innovation, and enterprise development. As Head of BI he is responsible for the design and delivery of the Growth Company’s corporate reporting systems, and manages a portfolio of research and evaluation.
- Michael Lamont, RBS: Businesses and banking in the current economic climate.
Mike started his career with NatWest 35 years ago and has been a Director of Corporate and Commercial Banking for the past 20 years. He has spent the majority of his time dealing with SME’s with a specific remit to assist their growth plans and supporting their efficiency and Risk profiles. He is currently the Chair of the Stockport Business Improvement District trading as Totally Stockport supporting Levy Payers in the town centre with aspects of Place and Event Management and is also a Member of the Stockport Town Centre Management Board.
The event will take place on Thursday 30th June 2022. With registration and breakfast taking place from 7.30am and presentations starting at 8am. The event should conclude by 9.00am.
