Damar Training are calling for employers and apprentices to join their “Class of 2016” campaign to help young people launch their careers.
As students emerge from schools and colleges across the country, a significant number will not be returning to the classroom, tempted instead by the independence that comes with a job with training.
Stockport based Damar Training, who have helped thousands of people into work, many of whom now hold senior positions in their organisations, are now pledging to help 2016 school and college leavers take the apprenticeship route to career success. A job with training, qualifications and no student debt can often be an attractive and successful alternative.
Calling all employers
Employers can benefit too. Business looking to recruit and retain ambitious young people are being urged to support the 2016 campaign.
Damar apprenticeships combine training and qualifications with a job within a wide range of industry sectors including Law, Accountancy and Business Administration. Damar work across the North-West and nationally with the legal and justice sectors.
Kay Ellermeyer, Business Manager at Alvanley Family Practice, has worked with Damar previously: “Damar supported us throughout the recruitment process, directing us to which apprenticeship would suit our needs best.
Our apprentices are well supported throughout their training. As assessments and work plans are online, I have easy access to all activities and ensure that they are meeting their targets”
Amanda Adams, Office Manager and Accounts at Stuarts Property Services said: “Here at Stuarts Property Services, our apprentices have had such a positive impact on our property letting and management business, so it is without doubt that we will follow the same route and use Damar to employ an apprentice again. We felt they really listened to what we required at the initial stage therefore filtered the applications very carefully to give us an excellent calibre of apprentices to choose from.”
Damar will assess the business needs, market a vacancy, introduce suitable candidates and deliver a tailored apprenticeship programme designed to ensure that the apprentice is as successful as possible in their new role.
