Creative students from across the North have taken part in an event to create marketing campaigns for Stockport Council in front of a judging panel of industry experts.
The Two+Two event, backed by Stockport-based firm Creative Resource, featured more than 200 students from across the North coming together at Stockport Exchange with mentors from the creative industry to compete for first place and the opportunity to work with Stockport Council and Stockport based APS Group. The winning ‘Nowt Wrong with It’ campaign, developed by students will use humour Aimee Speed, Lucy Vaughn and Chris Aschmann, to help educate Stopfordians about the environmental impact of food waste.
Cllr Mark Roberts, deputy leader at Stockport Council, said:
“I’d like to congratulate the winners of this year’s Two+Two event and we look forward to working with the team to bring their idea to life.
“This event allows us to combat the issue of food waste on a local level, increase food security within Stockport and reduce our carbon footprint.
“Promoting young creative minds from the North is integral to keeping talent in the North, and events such as these allow this to happen.”
‘Nowt Wrong with It’ will be built upon and developed into a deliverable campaign that the students will pitch to the council, with a view to launch the campaign at Stockport’s CAN Summit.
