Stuarts Property Services have been announced as Newcomer Employer of the Year by Damar training at their 2016 Annual Apprenticeship Awards.
Stuarts, a Letting and Property Management Specialist based in Cheadle Village, have taken on two apprentices through Damar Training.
Amanda Adams, Office Manager for Stuarts Property Services said: “Having worked for Stuarts for 12 years, I was both excited and apprehensive when the directors informed me that they were going down the apprentice route to replace a member of staff. I shouldn’t have been worried…. due to careful wording and thorough discussions and interview processes, all members of staff agree that we struck gold in employing the two apprentices that we have Gabriella Morelli and Brooke Wooding.”
The award coincides with National Apprenticeship Week (14-18 March 2016)
Jonathan Bourne, Managing Director of Damar Training quoted: “What really struck me about this nomination was the friendly and supportive environment that Stuarts Property Services provide for their apprentices. Smaller businesses often have some of the best apprenticeship opportunities and Stuarts Property Services is a perfect example of a local business that is committed to supporting local young people. We wish them and their apprentices all the very best for the future.”
Colin and Clare Hayes, the directors of Stuarts Property Services Ltd, both began their careers as 16 years old apprentices in their respective fields. They were given a chance in their early stages of working lives and they wish to give back that gift to young people. Clare’s ambition is to have one of the apprentices run their own business one day.
