A few months into her new role, Debbie explains in an interview how AI will enhance the service for CDL customers.
What are you bringing to the role?
With over two decades of experience, I have led projects across multiple countries, including the United Kingdom, Spain, China, and Singapore.
Since joining CDL, I have managed projects and programmes of varying complexity. Most notably, migrating all CDL’s products and services from on-premises hosting to AWS through a cloud-only programme. completing this challenging task entirely in-house, without external consultants, demonstrating strong internal capability and expertise.
What excites you the most?
I’m looking forward to setting a new strategic direction for the team, by driving operational excellence, empowering our high-performing teams, and cultivating strong client partnerships dedicated to delivering lasting value.
Our Professional Services team comprises Project Management, Client Implementation, Training, and the Project Management Office. The team leverages their collective expertise to ensure seamless project execution and strategic collaboration, aligning resources and efforts to consistently deliver outstanding results for our clients.
I’m a people person and I recall having a tour when I interviewed here and someone telling me I wouldn’t believe how dedicated people are to make things happen. It really is true.
What do you aspire to achieve?
“Partnering closer, delivering sooner, transforming onboarding to unlock real customer value from day one.”
We have strong relationships with our clients. It’s something we’re known for, and we know they appreciate it. My aim is to work even closer with them and become their trusted partner, to drive value and help to achieve this even sooner. AI will play a key role with this and it’s clear there is appetite from customers. So, it’s our job to help customers embrace AI and reap the benefits it has to offer.
And of course, there are many international opportunities in the insurance world – watch this space for future updates.
What is your take on the AI landscape?
Insurance is changing at a rapid rate, what with developments in technology and AI, so it’s an exciting time for the industry. As a trusted partner, CDL’s role is an enabler for the client to exploit these opportunities.
Our plan is to use AI to improve the onboarding and self-service capability, delivering quicker time to value for clients. This shift makes the experience smarter, smoother, and more intuitive from the outset. Trials have already been undertaken internally to great success. This really is what AI is all about, leveraging its capability to maximise the value and provide a competitive edge to our customers.
