Stockport and Manchester-based accountants, Bennett Verby have hired a fifth apprentice for their Stockport office.
The appointment comes as part of a plan to proactively grow the size of the rapidly-expanding business over the next 3 years.
18 year-old Holly Slater has been welcomed to the team on a Business Admin apprenticeship, which is just one of many courses the firm supports. Working alongside the administrative functions in the company, Holly will have the opportunity to explore where her interests lie in the firms’ other departments, from HR and Marketing to Accounts and Tax. The firm will continue to support her in any exams and qualifications she needs to achieve her goals.
Director Neil Jones, who began his career with the firm back in 1999 as an apprentice, said, “It’s fantastic to welcome people like Holly to the team. She’s enthusiastic, eager to learn and incredibly ambitious – now it’s our responsibility to help her grow and deliver results for our clients.”
He continued, “As a company, we’re passionate about hiring young, local people. As well as investing in the local economy, the schemes give young individuals the skills and confidence they need for the world of work. It’s incredibly rewarding for everyone involved.”
