Stockport-based charity, Arc is launching a new hospitality employability pilot programme for young people aged 18-25 who are currently not in education, employment or training (NEET), funded by the City & Guilds Foundation.
Based at Arc at Hat Works, the programme will support 15 local young people to develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to progress into careers across hospitality, retail, visitor attractions and customer service. Participants will gain hands-on experience within Arc’s café, retail and visitor-facing environments, alongside industry-led training and tailored employability support.
To further support the scheme, the charity is calling on businesses and professionals from across Stockport to get involved. If you have experience in hospitality, retail, tourism, customer service or related sectors, Arc is inviting you to share your career journey and industry insights with participating young people.
Arc will host an employer panel discussion on 23 October, and help inspire the next generation of local talent while supporting young people on their pathway into employment.
