Arts and mental health charity, Arc, has announced the return of its popular ‘Handmade at Hat Works’ creative market on 19th July at Stockport town centre’s iconic Hat Works building.
This event is part of a series of birthday fundraising events run by the charity Arc, which is celebrating 30 impactful years improving mental health through creativity. As a result, Arc is promising this year’s event will be bigger and better, and offer a day filled with inspiration and creativity to discover the incredible talent of Stockport’s creative community.
Spread across three floors, Handmade at Hat Works will feature:
- New products from studio to shop: Made to Make a Difference
- Debut of independent makers from Arc’s Creative Enterprise programme
- Local maker and artist stalls
- Live art demos
- Summer delights in the Hat Works Café
- Free ice lollies for the first 50 visitors!

This is a free, drop-in event from 10:00-15:00 with no pre-booking or entry fee. A full list of attending stallholders can be found on the Arc website.
Over the past 30 years, Arc has supported over 4,500 adults and young people on its core wellbeing programmes in Stockport and across Greater Manchester so far, and aims to raise £30,000 to support its non-profit work.
Through fundraising events such as Handmade at Hat Works, Arc can ensure it is around for the next 30 years, supporting as many people as possible to improve their mental health and wellbeing through creativity, building confidence and connection.
