The city-region’s annual Digital Skills Festival, organised by Manchester Digital, returns in 2022 in February, giving businesses the opportunity to connect with students and jobseekers interested in a career in the digital sector.
Digital Apprenticeship Day
As part of the week’s activities, Stockport businesses are being encouraged to find out more about digital sector apprenticeships.
The virtual breakfast panel on Tuesday 8th February from 9am to 10.30am is aimed at businesses interested in finding out more about digital apprenticeships and to discuss the benefits of employing apprentices in the digital sector.
The session will be a deep dive into insights, success and key learning for delivering apprenticeships effectively.
The event is free to attend: book your place here.
Talent Day
Recent graduates, students, jobseekers and those looking to retrain in the digital sector can meet with over 40 of Greater Manchester’s top employers at the North’s biggest tech careers fair.
Around 250 live vacancies, placements and internships will be available at the fair, offering careers in data, development, security, marketing, design and more.
Major employers including Auto Trader, BT, the Home Office and Naimuri will also share their insights at seminars, while a CV clinic will offer free advice to help jobseekers stand out.
The Talent Day takes place on Wednesday 9th February from 11am to 3pm. The event is free to attend for jobseekers: book your place here.
Professional Development sessions
On Thursday 10th and Friday 11th February, experienced professionals in the digital and tech sector can hone their skills, share knowledge and learn from peers through free workshops.
The day’s events will cover a range of industry skills and topics to help people already working in the sector to upskill.
The full range of workshops can be found on the Digital Skills Festival 2022 website.
