Hazel Grove firm Vivo Interiors has styled the inside of the refurbished Bredbury Hall after the hotel and country club was bought by Newco Ventures Limited in June.
It has now undergone a £1m refurbishment of the new public areas – including the nightclub and cocktail bar – created by Vivo, run by Dr Clare Whitehead since 2004.
Clare said:
“We were delighted to have been appointed to lead the redesign Bredbury Hall.
“We have created a new and more contemporary look at the hotel, restaurant, nightclub and conference centre.
“We designed the new-look reception and restaurant lounge area to create a central meeting hub for all-day dining, refreshing the existing nightclub with the addition of a Moroccan-style cocktail bar and lounge, and creating a new VIP lounge with an illuminated dancefloor on the first floor.
“Bredbury Hall is a beautiful and striking historic building with lots of potential. Our plans retain its charm while bringing it right up to date with a fresh and contemporary look.”
The hotel will have 147 bedrooms and is due to open next year.
Vivo Interiors has previously worked on projects including the Light ApartHotel in Manchester and the Didsbury Lounge bar.
Clare said:
“Over the last 11 years I have run several successful interior companies.
“I specialise in residential, show homes, student accommodation, hotels and restaurants and I consult on furniture and fixtures and always add my unique style to every mood board.
“Using our trade and manufacturing contacts – I project manage supply and installation with my own fit-out team, providing a full end-to-end solution.”
The refurbishment will see 12 new jobs created.
Mark Chambers of Onecall Hospitality, the hotel management specialist operating Bredbury on behalf of Newco Ventures, said:
“A lack investment in recent years has seen Bredbury Hall failing to fulfil its potential and we are excited to see the realisation of our vision taking shape.
“We have had a positive reaction to the work and I am in no doubt that customers will welcome these changes. Bredbury Hall will again be recognised for providing great service and facilities for the communities of Stockport and south Manchester.”
